Custom RFID Fabric Wristbands Built Around Your System
An RFID wristband should not be selected by appearance alone.
Two fabric wristbands can look almost identical but contain completely different RFID technologies. One may work with a 125 kHz access-control reader, another with a 13.56 MHz HF/NFC system, while another may be designed for UHF identification.
That is why at LOVECOLOUR we start with one question:
What does your RFID wristband need to work with?
We manufacture custom RFID fabric wristbands for festivals, concerts, exhibitions, sporting events, attractions, conferences, access-control projects and promotional programs. The fabric band, printing method, RFID chip, tag shape, encoding, visible identification and closure can all be configured according to the project.
- LF, HF/NFC and UHF RFID options
- Heat transfer, woven and screen printed fabric wristbands
- Polyester, RPET and selected satin materials
- Custom UID and data processing options
- QR codes, barcodes and sequential serial numbers
- Multiple RFID tag sizes and shapes

Choose RFID by Application — Not Just by Chip Name
For professional RFID projects, chip selection should come after the application and reader requirements are confirmed.
| Your Requirement | Typical Technology Direction | What We Need to Confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Traditional access control | LF or HF RFID | Reader frequency and supported chip |
| Festival entry or ticket validation | Usually HF RFID depending on system | Ticketing platform and reader |
| Compatible cashless event system | Usually HF RFID | Platform, reader and chip specification |
| Smartphone tap to website | 13.56 MHz NFC | NFC chip and data format |
| Membership identification | LF or HF depending on existing system | Existing reader/card specification |
| Longer-range identification | UHF RFID | Reader, antenna and operating environment |
| Unique participant identification | RFID UID / encoded data | Database and ID structure |
Already using a reader or event platform? Send us the reader model, frequency, existing RFID card/tag or chip specification before production. This is the safest way to avoid compatibility problems.
RFID Frequency Options
LF RFID — 125 kHz
Low-frequency RFID is used in many established identification and access-control systems.
Available chip options may include:
- EM4200
- TK4100
- ATA5577
- Hitag series
- Other compatible LF options
Typical applications: access control, member identification, legacy RFID systems and projects using compatible 125 kHz readers.
LF is not smartphone NFC. If your customer needs a phone to tap the wristband, a compatible 13.56 MHz NFC chip should be selected instead.
HF RFID / NFC — 13.56 MHz
13.56 MHz is one of the most common technology groups for close-range RFID applications. Depending on the chip, it can be used for event access, identification, ticketing, compatible cashless systems and NFC smartphone interaction.
Common chip options may include:
- NTAG213 / NTAG215 / NTAG216
- MIFARE Classic 1K
- MIFARE Ultralight
- MIFARE Ultralight EV1
- MIFARE DESFire EV1
- ICODE series
- Other compatible HF chips
Important: not every 13.56 MHz RFID chip should automatically be described as a smartphone NFC tag. Chip compatibility must be checked according to the required function.
UHF RFID — 860–960 MHz
For applications requiring longer-range or specialized UHF identification, UHF chip options can also be considered.
Depending on project requirements and current chip availability, options may include chip families from:
- Impinj Monza
- Alien Higgs
- NXP UCODE
- Other compatible UHF RFID chips
UHF requires a compatible UHF reader and antenna system. It should not be selected for a project that only needs standard smartphone NFC interaction.
RFID Is the Technology. The Wristband Is the Experience.
The electronics matter, but guests actually wear the fabric wristband for hours or even several days. That means comfort, artwork, closure security and branding are just as important as the chip.
Our RFID fabric wristbands combine the electronic credential with a fully customizable textile band.
Choose Your Fabric Wristband Style
Heat Transfer RFID Fabric Wristbands
Heat transfer is one of the most popular options for festivals and branded events because it supports detailed, full-color artwork.
It works especially well for:
- Full-color event graphics
- Gradients
- Sponsor logos
- Complex artwork
- Repeating patterns
- Color-coded participant groups
Polyester is the most commonly used webbing. Satin can also be considered for selected projects requiring a smoother surface.
Woven RFID Fabric Wristbands
Woven wristbands create the artwork directly with colored yarns rather than printing it onto the surface.
They are especially suitable for:
- Festival names
- Bold logos
- Simple graphic elements
- Premium event credentials
- Multi-day events
- Souvenir-style wristbands
For good woven definition, we normally recommend artwork using no more than approximately 8 colors.
Screen Printed RFID Wristbands
Screen printing can be a practical choice for straightforward logos, text and limited-color artwork.
Instead of selecting a printing process based only on price, send us your artwork and we can recommend the most suitable option.
Fabric Material & Wristband Size
Material Options
Polyester
Our standard and most commonly used fabric option, suitable for durable event wristbands and full-color branding.
RPET
Available for projects that prefer wristbands made with recycled polyester material.
Satin
Available for selected printed wristband projects requiring a smoother feel and surface appearance.
Common Sizes
| Version | Common Size |
|---|---|
| Adult | Approx. 15 mm × 350 mm |
| Children | Approx. 15 mm × 280 mm |
| Optional Width | 20 mm / 25 mm |
| Custom Size | Available according to project |
The fabric width should also be matched with the slot size and construction of the selected RFID tag.
Multiple RFID Tag Shapes & Sizes
The RFID module does not need to look the same for every wristband.
We have multiple existing tag moulds in rectangular, curved and round styles. Common sizes include approximately:
- 42 × 26 mm
- 40 × 25 mm
- 40 × 26 mm
- 39 × 25 mm
- 39 × 23 mm
- 38 × 20 mm
- 33 × 26 mm
- 30 × 30 mm
The correct RFID tag size depends on the wristband width, antenna design, chip, required reading performance and appearance.
The tag surface can also be customized with a logo, event name, QR code, serial number or other visible information.
What Can Be Customized on the RFID Wristband?
An RFID event credential can contain much more than a chip.
RFID Data Options
- Chip UID reading
- Specified data writing where supported
- Individual data processing
- URL / NFC data for compatible chips
- Database matching according to project requirements
Visible Identification Options
- Sequential serial numbers
- Unique QR codes
- Barcodes
- Participant IDs
- VIP / STAFF / MEDIA / CREW wording
- Zone or access-level identification
- Different band colors for different groups
RFID + QR Code + Serial Number: One Wristband, Multiple Ways to Identify
This is one of the most useful configurations for real events.
An RFID chip does not have to work alone. Depending on the project, one wristband can combine:
RFID Chip + QR Code + Serial Number + Color-Coded Fabric
This gives event operators several methods of identification.
| Situation | Identification Method |
|---|---|
| RFID gate or checkpoint | Read the RFID chip |
| Manual inspection | Check visible serial number |
| Camera or barcode scanner | Scan QR code or barcode |
| Quick visual check | Use color / STAFF / VIP / CREW identification |
For larger projects, tell us whether the UID, QR code, printed serial number and customer database need to correspond with each other before production begins.
Custom UID, Serial Numbers & Variable Data
For projects requiring individual identification, we can review variable-data requirements before manufacturing.
For example:
000001 → RFID credential A → QR code A
000002 → RFID credential B → QR code B
000003 → RFID credential C → QR code C
Depending on the chip and project, the required relationship between visible numbers, RFID UID and customer data can be defined before production.
Please send us your data format or a sample Excel/CSV structure when requesting this type of service.
One-Time or Reusable RFID Wristband Closures?
The closure plays an important role in access control.
One-Time Anti-Transfer Closure
Recommended when the wristband acts as a ticket or controlled credential.
Suitable for:
- Music festivals
- Concerts
- Paid admission
- VIP areas
- Large sporting events
- Multi-day events
The purpose of the one-way closure is to make casual transfer between guests more difficult.
Reusable Closure
Recommended where the wristband needs to be removed and worn again.
Suitable for:
- Staff
- Members
- Exhibitors
- Brand promotions
- Reusable access programs
We offer different plastic and metal closure styles depending on the wristband structure and required security level.
RFID Wristbands for Cashless Systems: An Important Detail
RFID wristbands are widely used as credentials in compatible cashless event systems, but the wristband itself is not a complete payment system.
A working cashless solution normally also requires:
- Compatible RFID readers or POS terminals
- Event or payment software
- User/account database
- Correct RFID chip configuration
If your customer already has a cashless platform, please send us the required RFID chip specification before ordering.
This prevents a common purchasing mistake: choosing a wristband first and discovering later that the chip is not supported by the event system.
Where Are RFID Fabric Wristbands Used?
Festivals & Concerts
RFID fabric wristbands can serve as branded admission credentials for single-day or multi-day music events, with options for access identification, UID, QR codes and compatible cashless systems.
Exhibitions & Conferences
Different attendee groups such as visitors, exhibitors, staff and VIP guests can be visually and electronically identified.
Sports Events
RFID wristbands can support participant identification, venue access and controlled zones depending on the event system.
Theme Parks & Attractions
Suitable for guest identification, access management and compatible ticketing or membership systems.
Hotels, Resorts & Water Attractions
RFID credentials can be configured according to the property’s existing system and required usage environment.
Brand Activations
RFID or NFC-enabled wristbands can connect a branded physical product with compatible digital experiences.
How Far Can an RFID Wristband Be Read?
There is no single correct reading distance for every RFID fabric wristband.
Actual performance depends on:
- RFID frequency
- Chip type
- Antenna size and design
- RFID tag construction
- Reader power
- Reader antenna
- Human body positioning
- Metal, water and surrounding materials
- Installation environment
For this reason, we do not recommend choosing a wristband only from a generic “reading distance” number.
For system-integrated projects, test the actual sample with the customer’s reader before mass production.
Before You Order 10,000 RFID Wristbands, Test the System
A normal promotional wristband mainly needs visual approval.
An RFID wristband needs both visual and electronic approval.
Visual Check
- Fabric color
- Logo position
- Printing quality
- Tag size and appearance
- Closure
- Wristband size
Electronic Check
- Correct frequency
- Correct chip
- Reader recognition
- UID requirements
- Data writing
- QR / serial matching if required
- Actual reading performance
A wristband can look perfect and still be the wrong product if it cannot communicate with the customer’s RFID system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an RFID fabric wristband?
An RFID fabric wristband combines a textile wristband with an RFID chip and antenna. A compatible reader can identify the wristband and use its credential within an access-control, ticketing, membership or other RFID system.
What is the difference between RFID and NFC wristbands?
RFID is the broader technology category. NFC is a specific short-range technology operating at 13.56 MHz. Our RFID fabric wristbands can be configured with LF, HF/NFC or UHF technology depending on the customer’s system.
Can you make NFC fabric wristbands too?
Yes. If your application requires compatible smartphone tapping, URL interaction or other NFC functions, a suitable 13.56 MHz NFC chip such as an NTAG option can be selected.
Can every RFID wristband have a unique number?
Variable serial numbers, QR codes and other individual identifiers are available. If these need to correspond with RFID UID or customer database records, provide the required data structure before production.
Can you read and provide the RFID UID before shipping?
UID processing can be discussed according to the selected RFID chip and project requirements. Tell us exactly how the UID will be used so we can confirm the correct production and data workflow.
Can you write data into the RFID chip?
Data-writing capability depends on the selected chip, memory structure, security settings and customer system. Send us the required data format before ordering so we can evaluate the project.
Can I add a QR code and RFID chip to the same wristband?
Yes. RFID, QR codes, barcodes, sequential serial numbers and visible participant identification can be combined where required.
Can RFID fabric wristbands be used for cashless payments?
They can act as credentials within compatible cashless systems. The RFID wristband itself is not the complete payment platform, so the chip must be matched with the customer’s software and reader system.
Which chip should I choose?
Do not choose only from a chip list. Send us your reader model, frequency, application and system requirements first. We can then recommend or confirm an appropriate RFID configuration.
How far can the RFID wristband be read?
Read range varies significantly according to RFID frequency, chip, antenna, reader, human-body position and environment. For important system projects, testing with the actual reader is recommended.
Are one-time RFID wristbands available?
Yes. One-way anti-transfer closures are available for ticketed events and controlled admission. Reusable closures are also available for staff, members and repeated-use applications.
Can you make adult and children’s sizes?
Yes. A common adult fabric wristband is approximately 15 mm × 350 mm, while a common children’s version is approximately 15 mm × 280 mm. Wider 20 mm and 25 mm options and custom dimensions are also available.
What printing methods are available?
Heat transfer, woven and screen printed fabric wristbands are available. Heat transfer works well for complex full-color graphics, while woven wristbands are ideal for bold designs and a premium textile appearance.
